Soft Washing
Soft Washing
Overview
Soft washing is the right answer for any surface that pressure washing can damage. We use a calibrated low-pressure system (under 500 PSI at the tip) to apply a surfactant-and-hypochlorite blend that kills the organic growth at its root rather than just blasting the surface clean.
Because we're treating the cause and not the symptom, a properly executed soft wash lasts 3–5× longer than pressure-only cleaning. We pre-wet your landscape, neutralize runoff, and re-wet after — your shrubs and lawn don't pay the price for a clean exterior.
Soft washing is the standard for stucco, dryvit, EIFS, vinyl siding, painted block, cedar, composite decking, and most asphalt-shingle roofs. If you've ever had a quote come back surprisingly cheap, ask whether they're soft washing or just pressure washing — the difference is in the chemistry.
Common questions.
Is soft washing safe for my plants?→
Yes — when done right. We pre-wet, tarp, and post-rinse all landscape on every job. The hypochlorite breaks down on contact with plant tissue and sunlight; we've never burned a hedge in over a thousand cycles.
How long does a soft wash last?→
Typically 3–5 years on a roof and 12–18 months on a facade in East Texas humidity, vs. 3–6 months for pressure-only.
